K-Suite version 1.96

The new release 1.96 of the K-Suite software introduces new CAR, BIKE and TRUCK protocols both for KESSv2 and the K-TAG. In addition, a great innovation for BOSCH EDC17 ECU VAG: now you can enable serial programming even on these ECUs. One more step to make your work easier and more effective.

Thanks to this new development you can enable the serial programming BOSCH EDC17 ECU VAG. The plugins that currently provide this function are:

Enabling serial programming is easy! How? Simply select the plug-ins that interests you and follow the instructions given in the right part of the window "Patch". See the example below, it can be very useful.

 

 

♦ SIEMENS EEPROM PATCH ONLY

From this release, with the K-TAG you can enable serial programming on SIMOS pCR2.1 and SIMOS 8.x ECU using one of these plug-ins:

Plugin 512 - (SIEMENS SIMOS 8.x VAG)
Plugin 513 - (SIEMENS PCR 2.1 VAG)

These plugins only allow you to read, writ, backup and restore the EEPROM memory and unlock serial programming to later map the ECU with KESSv2.

Yes that’s right, following recent development the Focus RS MK2 ECU’s no longer require ‘Bluefin enabling’.

 

There are several advantages resulting from this:

 

  1. You no longer need to carry out that laborious task before installing Bluefin, thereby increasing your margin.
  2. This opens the market to customers previously put off by the ECU removal / enabling process.
